It started as a hobby. Even as a very young child I can remember hours of pondering the perfect plan for celebrating that special occasion. Whether it was my parent’s anniversary, the holidays, a friend’s birthday or my sister’s wedding shower, I concocted a wacky theme to fit the occasion and their personality.

I put my artistic abilities to work creating unique invitations, packaging, favors, and presents. Friends and family can attest having been dragged through endless scavenger hunts or presented with an invitation to attend a surprise evening of festivities leading up to the actual present. For me, its about the sentiment and the experience in receiving the sentiment– its my unique way of showing those dear, just how special and loved they are. Over the years, my hobby evolved as friends and family turned to me to create special and unique sentiments for their celebrations.

We sat over coffee or lunch and discussed their hopes for the event - colors, visuals, textures, entertainment, location, etc… I lived, breathed, ate and slept their vision to create a one of kind piece to capture the essence of the occasion. Thrilled with the end result, friends and family started to refer their friends and family. I was excited about the interest and potential but overwhelmed balancing the demands of my full time “corporate” day job and being a new mom. With much encouragement and support from my husband and loved ones (who have all helped cut, glue and tie), I took the plunge to follow my creativity and heart (putting my B.A. in Studio Art to work) and founded Whimsical Wishes in 2006.

With a classic yet whimsical quality, each of our designs is hand crafted using exquisite fabrics, ribbons, trims, patterns and embellishments setting the stage for the special experience that awaits.
